Cool Treats Shaker Card

Hi!
So today is the very last day for THIS catalogue! That's super exciting for the new catalogue but I must just say I always get requests for stuff that has retired after it's gone so please do have a quick look in my SHOP today before it all goes forever :-D
Talking of new catalogues, I do still have some of the fabulous, shiny new catalogues available to post out for just £3 (to cover the postage costs.) If you don't already have a demo then please do get in touch and I'll be happy to help you.
OK, let's get to seeing this card shall we? These super cute "Cool Treats" ice cream stamps and dies are leaving us this evening so I took the opportunity to use them at class last week and I decided to make a shaker card as I haven't made one of these for a while either! So fun!
I used different coloured card behind each ice cream for a little extra interest.
The colours in this card are a game of highs and lows - the Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky are leaving us tonight, Boo! But the mini Macaron is coming back tomorrow! Yay!
These mini sequins (retired) are so cute!
I love the foam strips for making shaker cards, so quick and they really do go a long way.
Well, that's all for today. Tomorrow I'll have all the links to see the fab-u-lous new catalogue so do come here first thing to see!
Back tomorrow with all the fun, new stuff!
Be here or be square... or something like that ;-)

Happy Wife, Happy Life! Handmade Anniversary Card

Hello on this lovely sunny bank holiday! Well, it is here in the South of the UK but I hear it's not like that everywhere in the UK? Stay dry, friends :-(
So, onto the card... I have another Bird Banter card to share today ;-)
I made this for the hubster for our wedding anniversary and I thought I'd throw a little humour, as well as some truth, into this card, ha ha ha...
I coloured the bird in with blends (coming back soon) and added him atop a cluster of branches.
The background was created using the same blends pens (colour coordination at it's finest) and I topped each one with a drop of glue from the fine tip glue pen to make this enamel dot effect! I love it!
I first saw this idea by another demo, Lavinia Gruizinga (The Stampin' Magpie on fb) but she doesn't seem to have a blog I can link to :-( Thanks Lavinia!
Anyway it's a brilliant idea, don't you think?
And of course I doctored the sentiment from Tabs for Everything using a Stampin' Write Marker ;-)
Well, that's all from me today, here at Cardsandacuppa HQ. I have quite a few bits to do in my craft room but I think that will be later this evening as we are going to make the most of the nice weather in the garden this afternoon :-D
Have a lovely day everyone!

Cake Soiree in Coral and Razzleberry

Hello! there,
I have a Cake Soiree card fo you today :-) We made this card at a blends class recently and used the Coral, Olive and Razzleberry markers (back soon.) I actually really like the colour combo and it was great fun to use some colours that I wouldn't necessarily choose first.
I don't know about you but personally I do find myself using the same colours a lot of the time - which is also why the upcoming colour refresh will be so much fun!
Anyway, let's get back to today's card. This bundle is only available with the 10% discount for another week then the stamps and dies will be in the new catalogue but only separately but that gorgeous paper is leaving us forever on the 31st May..
So, this card is not the exact same as the card my ladies made as I managed to loose the little cake stand die on the morning (or ate the night before) the class!
Luckily I found it the afternoon after class.I had exhausted all possibilities before I finally emptied my craft room bin, piece by piece, and it was sat at the bottom! Also luckily it is a paper and card waste only bin so it wasn't too yucky *phew*
Another thing I like about the blends is when you add Wink of Stella over the top the colour stays in the same place, unlike watercolours. Great when you forget to add WoS and have to go back in. I try to plan WoS earlier in the colouring when I watercolour ;-)
I like the addition of sequins and a little (retired) hessian trim behind, I think it makes it perfect for a country style wedding card although you could also easily add a birthday sentiment to suit...
TIP: I uses a mini stapler to add sequin trim to the card securely. I find this to be much more secure than tape and a whole lot tidier than I can do using glue ;-)
So, what do you think of these colours? Do you enjoy making something a bit different sometimes? Then why not come to a class? I hold monthly classes here in the South of the UK and if you are a long way away then head over to Stampin' Up's main webpage and search for a demo where you are and join in the fun! I' love to hear from you and see what you've been making :-)
Right, that's me for today, I'm off into my craft room to finish about four cards I have on the go at the moment! Have a lovely Friday!

Bird Banter on a Football!

Hello there,
Today I want to share just one of the (many) Bird Banter cards I have made recently. I'm really sad this set is leaving us in just over a week :-(
Speaking of which, I am placing one more order this month in the next few days, so if you need anything - but especially anything that's going from the retiring Annual or Spring/Summer catalogue - then please do email me on sarah-janerae@sky.com to add your favourites. You can see what's going by looking HERE. Also some of the stamps and dies are staying but the bundles are finishing so you won't get the extra 10% off in the new catalogue as there'll be new bundles instead. You can of course, continue to order from my shop 'till the end of the month :-)
Anyway, let's see this card, shall we? I made this card for a football crazy boys birthday recently...
I used the Bird Banter stamps with a long retired football stamp set I keep especially for this boy :-)
Did you know the Stamp-a-ma-Jig is also retiring? Now, maybe you don't use it very often anymore but I do think it's such a handy tool to have and at just £11 it's a little bargain of a tool! Especially when using wood mount stamps as they won't go in the Stamparatus (which is coming 1st June.)
Love this little "sorry I'm late" sentiment, also in Bird Banter.
Although this card was only a day late ;-)
I die cut this image using the stitched edge framelits and popped it back in with dimensionals to give the card a little lift!
And I finished it all off with a little bling in the shape of some gold metallic shapes.
Well, that's all from me for today but I do have a stack of cards to share plus loads to photograph too so I'll be back tomorrow with another make... I hope you love Bird Banter too... ;-)
Thanks for looking today,
